SPECIAL NOTE
Arteluce was launched by Gino Sarfatti in 1939 and established itself as a leading international brand as well as a meeting place for many Italian designers of the time. Having designed over 400 lamps, he was responsible himself from product sketching and producing to product researching and experimenting. Both he and his company received several awards, including the Compasso d’Oro in 1954 and 1955. Flos acquired Arteluce in 1973, before Sarfatti died in Gravedona in 1985. Model 607 was created to exploit new light sources as it was the first table lamp to introduce a low voltage halogen source.
