SPECIAL NOTE
The “Boalum” lamp draws its design inspiration from the flexible hose commonly found in household vacuum cleaners. Gianfranco Frattini and Livio Castiglioni derived the concept for their tubular “Boalum” lamp from observing a waitress using a vacuum cleaner at a restaurant in Capri. The lamp's aesthetic mimics the adaptable vacuum hose, constructed using PVC tubing strengthened by metal rings and housing a string of lights within. This lamp promotes engagement, as it can be bent, coiled, or tied into various configurations, allowing for the creation of diverse shapes. Furthermore, it offers the potential for enhanced visual impact by connecting multiple lamps together.
