SPECIAL NOTE
Nanni Valentini, born in 1932 in Sant’Angelo in Vado, is a European sculptor. He trained as a ceramist at Pesaro's art school and the Faenza Art Institute, studying under Angelo Biancini. After graduating in 1953, he attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, where he was influenced by artists like Pompilio Mandelli and Giorgio Morandi. Valentini’s early works in terracotta and stoneware garnered him numerous awards, including the Faenza Prize in 1956. Known for his experimentation with materials such as paper, tar, and sand, he held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in international art events. Valentini's works often carried symbolic significance, exploring themes like nature and mythology. He taught at the State Institute of Monza until his death in 1985.
