Saridis of Athens | A Private Collection

An exhibition dedicated to an Athenian, family owned collection from the 1960's. The display aims to highlight Saridis's "Chinese Series", an important production in his multifaceted work, by reviving the "Chinoiserie" style through a contemporary aesthetic. High quality structures with decorative motifs and selected fabrics transcend a class of previous centuries: the installation intertwines elements of Western Art with the Oriental and exotic allure, showcasing Saridis's uniqueness and creating a mesmerising ambiance.

The collection includes 23 furniture pieces all signed and numbered, alongside important lighting fixtures by renowned 20th century Masters such as Ignazio Gardella, Max Ingrand, Carlo Nason, Hans-Agne Jacobsson and Anders Pehrson.
