
Tommaso Barbi was an Italian designer and artist renowned for his contributions to lighting, furniture, and interior design. Born in Florence in 1944, he studied art and design in Florence, Rome, and Milan. His work is characterized using high-quality materials such as brass, bronze, and crystal, combined with exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship. He became known for his elegant and refined lighting fixtures, often defined by a balance of organic and geometric forms. Inspired by nature, his designs frequently featured motifs such as leaves. Throughout his career, he collaborated with prestigious international clients, luxury brands, and leading architects and interior designers of his time, including Renzo Mongiardino and Peter Marino. In addition to design, he also practiced painting and sculpture, exhibiting his works in galleries and museums throughout Italy and Europe.
