Albano Poli was an Italian artist, designer, and master glassmaker known for his innovative lighting and sculptural works. Born in Verona, he studied under Pino Casarini and began his career restoring stained glass and sacred art. In the early 1960s, he founded Poliarte, producing expressive lamps that fused hand‑worked glass with metal. Using Murano glass, chromed iron, and forged metals, his designs became influential in 1960s–70s Italian design. Poli’s work balanced tradition and innovation, earning him recognition as a leading figure in post‑war Italian decorative arts.
